So the other day I was finding that "C" (my 10 year old) was wanting Strawberry Lemonade. Well guess who had no Strawberry Lemonade? Yup, me. But guess who is creative and loves to be creative? Yup, that's me again. So I went through all my cabinets to see what I could find that could come close to this summer-time favorite and here is what I came up with.
In a gallon pitcher I mixed together do not add sugar lemonade powder mix (the kind that comes in the large plastic jar that you fill to the 2-quart line twice with the powder then dissolve in water) and one packet of strawberry kool-aid (the kind that you have to mix with sugar). I did NOT add sugar. Pour the powders into the pitcher then add ice until the pitcher is a fourth full, add water to the top and stir. Add a few fresh lemon or strawberry slices (or both). And then you have fast, easy and tasty strawberry lemonade.
Just thought I would share this fast trick I learned to make a refreshing strawberry lemonade drink. :)
